Using the embedded alpha channels with the GLOBE COLLECTION This simple tutorial will demonstrate how easy it is to overlay the globe animations onto the supplied backgrounds or your own footage. You start by dragging the Globe quicktime file onto Premiere's timeline on Video 2. Then place the chosen background you want to use (or your own work) onto the main timeline track Video 1A. See example below.

Now right-click the globe animation to pull up the clip menu. Select Video Options then choose Transparency. See example below.

When the transparency dialog appears click on the Key type drop-down menu and select Alpha Channel. See below.

That's it! It's as simple as that.

Preview your work and the globe will perfectly overlay your background as shown below.
